Suitable for
Adults 40 and over, or younger with a strong family history or elevated Lp(a).
Not suitable for
Pregnancy. Existing recent imaging within 24 months, unless clinically indicated.
Protocol
Carotid ultrasound with intima-media thickness measurement at the Zürich clinic, 30 minutes.
Non-contrast cardiac CT for calcium scoring at the imaging partner, 20 minutes on site.
Reports read by our cardiology lead within 5 working days.
Review appointment, 60 minutes, alongside your most recent biomarker panel.
A calcium score of zero is reassuring but not a guarantee, particularly under 45 where plaque may be present without calcification. We say this at the review, not afterwards.
